Hear and see how the factory is running

This is a simulated factory day: materials arrive, three assembly lines build products, QA inspects them, and trucks collect them from the warehouse.

Rather than reading numbers, let your own pattern recognition do the work. After a while you'll know what a normal day looks and sounds like, and notice when something changes.

• Listen. Roughly harmonious, flowing music means things are fine. Discordant, off-key or off-beat sound means something isn't quite right.
• Look. Each coloured thread is one measurement; wider means more. Newest is at the top. Red dots are alarms.
• Explore. Change event rates or add disturbances on the right, and switch homeostasis off to see whether the factory recovers on its own.

Sound stays off until you choose Turn sound on in the top bar. Headphones help: the sound pans left to right along the flow.
